Ft. Collins - Closed

I guess this is a little bit late, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! This Christmas Break was awesome. I got to have some well needed time away from school and some unforgettable times with family and friends.

I guess I will go ahead and explain the title of this post. Though I live in Colorado, I do not see a much snow where I live as many might expect. In fact the last big snow was in spring of 2003. However, this year we go a good two feet and in some places like eight foot drifts. It was awesome! It was so bad in fact that when the news came on, the scroll bar on the button that showed closers said 'City of Fort Collins - Closed'. They even opened up the mall for people who were stranded, though no shops were open.

I had a fun and simple Christmas and an amazing Christmas dinner (a great change from Sodexo Food Services at Olivet). I got an acoustic guitar which is basically amazing and I have begun to learn to play.

And also as a late Christmas present, I got my wisdom teeth out. I am currently on the mend and have stopped using drugs and have started to chew solid food. The oddest part of the entire thing was when I was laying in the operation bed, they stuck the IV in me to knock me out and I watched the heart rate monitor and listened to the beeps slow down. It was a very weird feeling and about all I remembered from that day.

I had a very simple New Year's Eve, just spending time with my parents at home playing pool and watching the clock on the computer change to 12:00.

All in all, it has been a memorable break and will be heart-breaking to go back to school.

Congratulations on quitting the drugs. For a little while there I was a little worried about you ( ;
