Losing what was not ment to be found

It's funny in life, when you find what you have been so desperately searching for, only to be left lost when you discover that is was not yet ready to be found. You prepare yourself, your life for the moment of discovery only to find that your preparation has been in vain. You feel torn apart at first... ripped in two. But then you look back on the moments that led to this very point in time and you discover that you found something so much more valuable than the initial thing you were looking for. You find yourself. You find that you now have the experiences that will guide and direct you in your future... till the time comes when the thing you were looking for was meant to be found. It is the experiences, the memories, the mistakes, that will make that new moment worth all of the heartaches felt before. Sure, it is still hard to accept, to realize that it was not meant for this time, but all the while it will be that much better in the end.
