Helpless Estate

Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

Jesus Christ died on the cross so that I may live, so that the sins committed are taken from me. So that he could dwell in my heart, so that I may live for him and in him and him in me, so that I may be a shining light to the world around me. He died on the cross to save me from my sins and though, in all helplessness, sin will come again, it will not prevail.

Jesus Christ my blessed assurance, shed his blood for my soul, and has entered in to this helpless estate. It is well with my soul…
